Music: Weird Al

I, like most people that will admit they ever liked him, enjoyed Weird Al's music when I was a kid. I mean come on, we all had that guilty pleasure back in the day that was known as Amish Paradise. The man has been gone from the parody song genre for a good number of years now. He's been camped out in VH1's studio for a long time. I think Weird Al has the longest streak for continously being on their "Best of..." series. And thats saying alot, because there are people on those shows that can't find work anywhere else and just love reminiscing about slap bracelets, the Tootsie Pop commerical, etc. I always felt bad that Weird Al was on those shows and associated with nobodies like Gilbert Godfrey.

Anyways, Weird Al has a new album coming out soon. I know...FINALLY. I'm kidding folks, its been a lonnnnggg time since I called myself a fan of his work. I just happened to run across his Myspace page and saw that he had some new material. I think some of you might get a kick out of it. He has two original songs, that are ok. Don't Download This Song is going to be his new single and its...ok. It would have been funny three or four years ago when music piracy was all over the news. The main reason I am passing this along is because I think some people out there would like to hear Weird Al parody a new song. (Maybe just one???)

He messes with James Blunt's ever-so-popular ballad "You're Beautiful" in You're Pitiful. It's not bad and I thought the beginning of the song was pretty funny. If anything guys, check this one out. As an added bonus, he has Amish Paradise on there, so at least you can reminisce away (just like on VH1!!!).

By no means am I recommending this, but I just thought some of you would get a kick out of it.

I hope you like...
