Music: Three Great Songs You Can Listen To For Free!

Since I've been gone a while, I decided to share three songs that I personally love that you can download for free. I realize these are a little old, but who cares??? Free tunes!! A little triple treat for you all...

Actionslacks - Folding Chair
Never heard of these guys before I downloaded a few of their songs from 3hive a few months back. Like most mp3s I get from that site, I listened to this one once and let it in my iTunes library for a while. Fast-forward to about a month ago when I was getting tired of listening to the same old music and just put a bunch of 3hive music on my iPod. Luckly I hit this song on shuffle and have loved it ever since. The simple chords at the beginning of the track are enticing enough to let it play through. And you'll be glad you waited, because I love how this song builds and builds until about the 2:00 mark. The chorus is rather catchy. Hell, the whole song is catchy and I recommend you at least give it a listen.

Note: Another good song on 3hive's Actionslack mp3 list is I Hope This Makes it Easier for You. It's not as good as Folding Chair, but it's a fun song if you listen to the lyrics.

Freezepop - Freezepop Forever
I'm going to show a little bit of the geek in me by linking you to this, but Freezepop is catchy as hell. Plus I wanted to have a little variety in this little grab bag. I first got into them through a videogame (the ONLY time this has happen, I swear!) and have loved these guys ever since. They are very, very weird though. I think the cd cover speaks for itself. Open minds people! Hopefully you can do this and enjoy the great music that Freezepop produces.

Unfortunately, the song is not available to download for free on the site. However, they do have their "music video" of it on the site, so you can still listen to the full song and download it elsewhere.

Note: Like this song? Try Super Sprode and Science Genius Girl, two other catchy songs by Freezepop.

Justin Rutledge - Don't Be So Mean, Jellybean
I've been really getting into live acoustic music lately and when I found this on 3hive I instantly liked it. Rutledge has a great voice, but I think its great that he gets the whole crowd into it. The lyrics are simple, but very mellow and makes for a good listening experience. That catchy word is going to make an appearance in this track review too. It looks like his second album just came out and I bet that it is pretty damn good. I'll let you guys know if its buyable.

Note: Gotta like slow and moody music to enjoy this other great track: Special.

Video: Shoes

These shoes rule! These shoes suck!

I think you have to many shoes. Shut up!

And just...

Shoes!

This one has been on the internet for awhile, but I'm suprised that there are a number of people still out there that have yet to see it. Let me be the one who introduced you to its awesomeness. It starts off really, really weird and you are going to want to turn it off. Don't. Let it get to the 1:02 mark before greatness sinks in because it only gets weirder from there. It gets so weird that you just can't turn it off.

If I haven't peaked your interest yet, try this...

- It is the 10th highest rated YouTube on the site.

- More than 10% of the people that watch the video have favorited it.

- Finally, over 9,000 people can't be wrong...

So get over to YouTube, because Blogger is dumb and won't let you embed YouTube videdos anymore.

Oh yeah, and...

Shoes!
